Happy Days

I can’t tell you about the relief.  But I will try.

After months of planning and waiting and arranging and preparing, my move is almost here.  I am leaving 680 News, my home for the last decade, and venturing confidently into the undefined.

I wish I could explain the euphoria I felt when I got up at 3 this morning and the peace I felt as I drove back into the city yesterday afternoon, knowing it was the last time I’d be making this despondent drive. It was a downer to leave what had become my “home” to return to the place I knew I was leaving.

But there is a bit of a sadness about leaving my team, absolutely.  If you’ve ever been part of a well-oiled machine, like the 680 News morning show, you’d know what I mean.  I love my team!  Some of them are very close friends.  And I wll miss seeing them every day, truly.

But I’m sooooo excited about moving on and launching the life I’ve been planning for a long while.  Things will be very different and that’s the whole point.
