Falling For The Season
I’ve often said autumn is my favourite time of the year. And when we have a first day of fall like this one, I can’t imagine there being too much argument with my selection.
I like the fall because it can still be nice, sunny and warm during the day but it cools down to a comfortable low at night.
Generally, you can breathe the daytime air in fall, even if it gets hot. Smog days tend to be a thing of the summer that was.
Sure, the trees turn colour because their leaves are dying but what a pretty way to go!
The only real downside to fall, in my opinion, is if it’s very rainy and consistently wet. Tracking twigs, leaves and mud around isn’t my idea of a good time. Otherwise, it pretty much rocks. And it’s not like it’s avoidable, so why not enjoy Mother Nature’s ride through the seasons and find something to love about each one?
Remind me of that philosophy when we’re knee-deep in snow, will you?
