I will miss his regular, long emails to me about the goings on with my former colleagues at CHML. I’ll miss hearing his reports and knowing, without question, that he has gotten to the meat of the story. I’m grateful that I got to work with him and know him and respect him for his never-ending enthusiasm for his job and the people whose paths he crossed while doing it. Bill was a genuinely good guy whose inquisitive nature, boundless energy and high standards were the hallmarks of his work. He was a fixture in Hamilton media and his absence will be felt by many for a long time. He died one day after Hamilton police named their media room after him. Rest in peace, Billy.
