The Un-Boxing Day

There are a few things I would rather do than endure a crush of crazed shoppers on the day after Christmas.
I’d rather walk through a Taliban stronghold in Afghanistan wearing nothing but an American flag.
I’d rather be the only person in charge of a roomful of toddlers hopped up on Pepsi and Hershey’s kisses.
I’d rather give Donald Trump a sponge bath.
I can’t think of a single thing that would inspire me to line up with a crowd at a store on this Boxing Day. We are heading for a family get-together but even if we weren’t I simply could not be lured into the crazed melee of post-holiday shopping, at least, not today.
